Looking north, over Vancouver’s downtown towards the north short mountains in the early 1950s we can see the new Granville Bridge being constructed on the left to replace the 1909 swing bridge on the right.
Granville Island, in the foreground, is still very busy – but now with boutique shops and restaurants in the old industrial buildings.
