Looking over Vancouver’s West End in the early 1950s on a hot summer afternoon. While most of the houses in this view have been long replaced by towers, the Sylvia Hotel at the far left and English Bay Cafe on the far right are still here. Sadly, “Big Bertha” the floating waterslide is now just a memory.
